‘Functional Dyspepsia: An Update on Nutritional Management of Pain, Burning and Bloating’
Functional dyspepsia is estimated to affect 1 in 5 people and characterised by symptoms of post‐prandial bloating, early satiation or pain in the upper abdomen. Management typically consists of proton pump inhibitors or other pharmacotherapies; however, drug therapies have limited evidence of efficacy and risk of side-effects. Personalised dietary interventions and some nutritional supplements are important management options and have considerable evidence to suggest they can effectively reduce symptoms of functional dyspepsia. This webinar is an update on the nutritional management of functional dyspepsia.
