Are you saying shouldn’t have gluten or dairy in the first 2 years of life?
I’m not saying that for all no. I am saying when one is more vulnerable, maybe born by c-section, early antibiotics (so microbiome is not well diversified) or strong family history this needs to be considered?
I personally would run a lifecode nutrient core here to ascertain genomic genetic and lactose story as part of making that decision.
Does inflammation in the foetus come from vaccinations,
Vaccinating in pregnancy needs to be a consideration yes. I did extensive research into whooping cough in my last pregnancy and couldn’t come up with many concerns. And whilst we cannot tell a patient what to do re vaccine, I personally would not vaccinate against flu or COVID in pregnancy. Particularly re COVID and the research on it passing the placenta and of course no long term studies on this.
Just wondering about high levels of IL-6 secreted from muscles during exercise now found to be anti-inflammatory… whether exercise during pregnancy beneficial to foetus or not?
It is about creating the sweet spot, which is going to be different in us all depending on our prior to pregnancy experiences. For example Paula Radcliffe ran marathons throughout her pregnancies, this is not something I would advise to a non-elite athlete as the build-up of lactic acid is likely to be too high, and the creation off inflammation. So we have to base recommendations on an individual basis and a personal risk to the individual, but an element of exercise is beneficial to most.
Which Magnesium are you recommending for brain function?
My preference is Megamag muscleese or our Teen magnesium
What is the reason for some people not being able to tolerate glutathione even when taking selenium.
It comes down to their unique genomics, if you have a lot of upregulation on phase 1 and down regulation on phase 2 you are creating more ROS which creates more oxidation, so therefore ascertaining SNYPS and ideally reducing burden on those that are polymorphic (some of these we may not be able to because they may be medication) but control the controllable, herbicides, pesticides, alcohol etc and supply the body with more anti-oxidants to quench ROS especially if a SOD polymorphism, then we can start getting better response to phase 2 detox support which glutathione is of course 1 of.
What is the main reason for low homocysteine?
ow homocysteine ( below 6) implies, according to Ben Lynch , that there are not only methylation issues but transulfatation issues ( glutathione) as well…some believe that is is more dangerous potentially than elevated homocycsteine ( at least above 9)
Your thoughts on choline supplementation, especially for vegetarians would be welcome… it seems to be controversial (TMAO) but noticed Food for the Brain group now recommending choline supp. alongside B12 and OMEGAs in plant-based diets?
I think there are lots of positives to using choline:
